History of Radio
In 1886 radio waves first identified by Heinrich Hertz belong from Germany. Late on in 1895-1986 Guglielmo Marconi from Italy developed the first practical radio transmitter and receivers. The commercial based radio launched in 1900 for public and other purpose.
Radio in Pakistan
After the creation of Pakistan in 14 August 1947 the radio Pakistan started with the name of Pakistan Broadcasting Service. The announcer announce the creation on 13 August 1947 at 11:59 pm.Later on the Radio Pakistan opened a new broadcasting house in Khairpur on 7 May 1986, followed by relay stations in 1989 at Sibi and on 21 March 1991 in Abbottabad. The remoter parts of the country began to receive coverage with new stations opened in the 1990s at Chitral, Loralai and Zhob.

FM Radio developed by Edwin Armstrong belongs from United States of America in 1930s. The initial stations started on experiment based called Apex and broadcast high fidelity audio using wide-bandwidth AM on VHF frequencies.

The history of FM Radio in Pakistan started back in 1998 with the new name of FM Stations. Initially the FM stations developed in Islamabad, Mianwali, Gawadar, Sargodha, Kohat, Bannu and Mithi. Later on Pakistan Broadcasting started first English FM Radio station in Islamabad.
